ORIGIN OF THE  NAME

“The PsychoRelics” is a wordplay on the 60’s inspired word “psychedelic”, which loosely
 means an intensification of awareness and sensory perception.

The “psycho” in PsychoRelics is from the Greek “psyche” which refers to “a mental process”
and the “relic” part of the name, from the Old French refers to ”of historical interest due to its 
associations with the past”

Psycho or “Mental process” = crazy,  Relics or “associations with the past” = old;  therefore,
we are Crazy Old Musicians, or just simply “The PsychoRelics.”

WHERE ARE WE ?

The PsychoRelics are based in the hot bed of Classic Rock Music, ROCKLAND MA.   
Where else?

ROCK-LAND is located about halfway down the coast between Boston (Bean town) and
Plymouth (America’s Home town) or about 30 miles northeast of Providence, Rhode Island.

Our shows are generally within that area, “The PsychoRelics Triangle" as it has been known,
 due to some of the strange occurrences that have happened within.

*To the casual reader, our gig schedule would make us appear to be the laziest cover band in the world, 
 if not the South Shore.  This may be true.  However, as most musicians eventually discover at some point
in their lives, they are in it for fun.  So if you happen to see us playing somewhere, it is because we want
to be there and not because we had to be there. That being said, we are for hire, but keep in mind,
 that we are a rock band and tend to rock on occassion.

Our best fit is in bars, backyards, and function halls with all ages audiences. Really, any time we get
together, be it a rehearsal, recording, or at a gig, we are having fun doing what we love.
